If you are stuck at the roadside, your safety comes first. Call when safe, share your location, vehicle registration and tyre size if you can check it safely.
Do you come to my location?
Yes. We attend homes, workplaces, roadside locations, depots, farms and yards where it is safe and practical to work.
How quickly can you arrive?
Vans are positioned around the East Midlands, so we aim to reach customers in around 30 minutes on average where traffic, distance and availability allow. It is always worth calling to check if a van is already in your area.
Do you cover emergencies day and night?
Yes, we provide emergency tyre callout support. If you are in a dangerous place, stay safe first and call when you can.
What vehicles do you support?
We support any car, van or trailer up to 3.5T. If you are unsure, call with your vehicle registration and tyre size and we will confirm the best option.
Can you repair a puncture instead of replacing the tyre?
Yes, where the tyre is safely and legally repairable. If the damage is outside the repairable area, too large, or the tyre is unsafe, we will talk through replacement options.
Can you help with TPMS faults?
Yes. We can help with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System issues including valves, sensors and warning light problems.
Can you replace batteries?
Yes. Battery replacement is available for vehicles that will not start or have battery-related issues.
Can you remove locking wheel nuts?
Yes. We can help remove locking wheel nuts where the key is missing, damaged or preventing tyre work from being carried out.
Can you fit trailer tyres?
Yes. We help with trailer tyres for towing, leisure use, businesses, farms and yards.
If I need two tyres, do I pay two callout charges?
No. If two tyres are needed during the same visit, you only pay one callout charge.
Why may photos be taken before and after the work?
Photos may be taken before and after work is carried out to record the condition of the wheel, tyre and surrounding area. This protects both the customer and Melton Tyre Services by helping prevent misunderstandings or damage claims after the visit.
What type of tyre will be fitted?
A suitable budget tyre will normally be supplied as standard unless requested otherwise. Premium tyre options are available on request, subject to tyre size and stock availability.
Please tell us if a specialist tyre is needed, such as a run flat tyre or an electric vehicle tyre. It is the customer's responsibility to provide the correct information. If we arrive and the information supplied is incorrect, an additional charge may apply.
What information should I have ready?
Your location, registration, phone number, tyre size and the tyre position are helpful. A photo of the tyre sidewall or damage can also help us confirm the right option quickly.
Do I need to have my wheel nuts checked afterwards?
Yes. After a wheel has been removed and refitted, the driver is responsible for arranging a wheel nut torque check after approximately 20 miles of driving.
